TimeGuru was last updated on March 1, 2024. Since then, the law on time registration has been implemented. This has resulted in many customers wanting to activate features for mandatory filling of “start/end” times.

“Start/end” times can be a bit more complicated than just entering the number of hours. Therefore, we have added the option to set standard times in the user profile. Additionally, there is now the possibility to monitor the 11-hour rule, ensuring that employees get their rest.

Pre-fill Times and Breaks During Time Registration
Each user can now set up standard “start/end” times and breaks for all days of the week in their user profile. Here you can also set up standard activities, projects, and customers, etc.

 

Monitoring the 11-Hour Rule
You can now monitor the 11-hour rule in real time. You activate the function under system settings, section 2.
When the function is active, selected activities are automatically monitored. You can exclude activities, like working from home, which typically do not need to be counted.

When an employee “reaches” the 11-hour rule, you can decide if they should be warned and allowed to continue time registration, or if time registration should be blocked. You can also notify the employee’s manager when the rule is “broken.”

Setting Up Vacation Types
It is now possible to set whether vacation can be taken in hours, half days, or full days per vacation type. We have also updated the administrator tool for registering common vacation/ holidays, so vacation balances can be emptied in a prioritized order depending on what the employee has left.

Updating Activities
We have added new features to activities, providing even more flexibility:

  • Option for mandatory “start/end” time on selected activities.
  • Option to book the calendar for selected activities if “start/end” time is mandatory (in addition to automatic booking of absence).
  • Option to remove mandatory selection of customer and project for selected activities (so you don’t need an internal project for non-project hours).
  • Option to display selected activities in the vacation plan.

User Statistics Report
The report now allows you to insert graphs with absence statistics at the top of the report. The graphs show the selected period as well as the corresponding period the previous year, and the absence percentage can be displayed graphically across departments, employee types, and absence activities.

Shared Check In/Out Terminal
There are many new settings for setting up the check in/out terminal, all to better adapt the functions to the company’s needs. Go to Administrator Tools > Shared Terminal to see the new options. We have also added a QR code to the check in/out terminal, so you can easily log your iPad on.
